Project Overview

As part of the development works along Howick Place, the City Council made improvements to the streetscape in Howick Place and Francis Street.

These improvement works included:

• Renewing and widening the footway with new concrete paving slabs;
• Improved pedestrian access by constructing vehicle entrances to match footway levels;
• Increasing residential parking along Francis Street;
• Resurfacing a section of substandard carriageway in Howick Place; and
• Upgrading street lighting.
