Project Overview

The City Council has implemented a scheme to improve the streetscape in Long Acre between Neal Street and Drury Lane.

The proposals were developed in partnership with local stakeholders and included:

• Widening the footways to provide more space for pedestrians
• New road layout at the junction of Endell Street and Bow Street
• Paving the footways with new high quality materials
• Replacing the carriageway surfacing
• Revised unloading/loading provisions
• Upgrading the street lighting
• New cycle parking facilities
• Introduction of a contra-flow cycle lane
