Project Overview

FM Conway, working on behalf of Westminster City Council, will be carrying out highway improvement works along Harrow Road, Hermitage Street and North Wharf Road.

The highway improvements include the following:

• Widening and repaving of the eastern footway of Hermitage Street in concrete paving;
• Widening the carriageway and changes to the geometry of the junction of Hermitage Street with Harrow Road and North Wharf Road to enable a two-way traffic flow along Hermitage Street;
• Removal of the contra-flow cycle lane;
• Introduction of two loading bays and a drop-off area on Hermitage Street;
• New informal pedestrian crossing on North Wharf Road immediately west of Hermitage Street;
• Upgrading the public lighting along Hermitage Street; and
• Improving the surface water drainage along the whole extents of the scheme.

Outline Programme

Works will commence on site on 22nd August 2016 and to be completed by February 2017.
