Project Overview

Design and Implementation of pedestrian crossing improvements on Stanhope Terrace at the junction of Brook Street, as part of complementary measures for the East West Cycle Superhighway. 

The existing island at the junction of Stanhope Terrace and Brook Street is proposed to be enlarged and two zebra crossing to be installed.  An informal crossing point is proposed on Stanhope Terrace (east) to assist pedestrians crossing Stanhope Terrace. 

As part of this proposal, new footway way paving is proposed as well as approach lanes to zebra crossing to be resurfaced and high friction surfacing laid.
