Project Overview

The proposals include:

• the introduction of “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions at the junctions of Harrow Road with Woodfield Place and Woodfield Road;
• the reversal of the one-way working in Woodfield Place so that it operates in a southbound direction;
• the restoration of two-way working in Woodfield Road;
• the introduction of a 7.5 tonne goods vehicle / bus ban in Woodfield Place;
• various amendments to parking provisions in Woodfield Place and Woodfield Road resulting in a net gain of one pay-by-phone parking bay and the removal of a redundant “White Badge” disabled person’s personal parking place; and
• various amendments to waiting restrictions in Woodfield Place and Woodfield Road.

The above changes, which have been recommended following a review of accident statistics in this area, will:

• improve visibility at the junctions of Harrow Road with Woodfield Place and Woodfield Road;
• remove the risk to road users turning right from Woodfield Place onto Harrow Road by reversing its one-way working; and
• promote careful driving by reintroducing two-way working in Woodfield Road.
