Project Overview

The Royal Albert Hall, working in partnership with Westminster City Council, are delivering public realm improvements on Kensington Gore between the Royal College of Art and the Royal Geographical Society in order to provide a safer and more accessible environment.

The measures proposed as part of the scheme includes:

  • A widened footway along the Hall’s north façade, protected by a row of security bollards;
  • An extended fully accessible pedestrian crossing, improving the connection between the Hall and Kensington Gardens;
  • A raised table carriageway levelled with the southern footway; and
  • Upgraded road drainage and street lighting.
