Project Overview Conway WSP to investigate the inclusion of a 'School Street' outside selected sites within Westminster as part of an ongoing school street initiative within the City of Westminster to provide agreed timed street closures outside of schools at drop off and pick-ups hours, and in some cases during the school day. The main objective of the 'School Street' initiative is to enhance school road safety, and provide opportunities for children to be active through travel and play. The feasibility studies will review potential options and recommend a preferred design, compliant with Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) 2016, Department of Transport (DfT) as well as Westminster City Council’s design guidelines. A cost estimate, works programme and balanced review of all pros and cons for the scheme shall also be provided.
