Project Overview

Westminster City Council has commissioned its service provider, FM Conway Limited, to undertake public realm improvement works on the junction of Eccleston Street and Chester Square as part of its Local Safety Scheme programme. The works will include the following:

• Extension of the raised table across both access points to Chester Square;
• Build out of footways/narrowing of carriageway at entrances to Chester Square;
• Introduction of new signage to increase safety at the junction;
• Introduction granite setts into Chester Square crossing points;
• Introduction of high friction surface to the intersection;
• Removal of pay by phone bays to accommodate new build outs; and
• Addition of cycle stands;
