Project Overview

Westminster City Council has commissioned its service provider, FM Conway Limited, to undertake public realm improvement works Eccleston Street. The scheme will support local businesses in providing facilities that will help businesses remain and grow. It is hoped that the proposals will make the area more attractive to daytime visitors and make it a place people wish to visit, while respecting surrounding communities. The measures will help improve accessibility and inclusivity by creating additional footway space. The works will include the following:

  • Widening of pedestrian footways;
  • Introduction of pedestrian focused gateway at Eccleston Place junction;
  • Provision of loading bays to service local businesses;
  • Integrating planting areas permanently into the public realm;
  • Public lighting improvements and;
  • Public drainage improvements;
