Project Overview

As part of the sustainable transport initiative, Westminster City Council has secured funding from TfL to improve the Local Bus Priority Network in Strand.

Improvements are proposed for the Strand outside the Royal Courts of Justice.

Improvements to the LBPN included:

• Improved bus accessibility by increasing the footway area and raising kerbs
• Improved highway drainage
• Improved bus efficiency and journey times by installing bus cages, keeping the stops free from parked vehicles
